To promote the smooth and transparent trade in horticultural products between the different links in the chain, we need clear information. That is why we classify horticultural products according to important characteristics like quality, grading (by size), maturity, packaging, pre-treatment and loading.

The VBN (Association of Flower Auctions in The Netherlands) has prepared general specifications for all product groups.

Along with these general specifications, you’ll find more detailed product specifications and product codes on the VBN site. These specifications ensure not only clarity in commercial transactions but also quality control.
